  • Gail Beck is a proud maternal descendant of Bunderan who married John Ryder at New Norcia mission. Bunderan’s other names were Sarah Ryder and Sally Ryder.

    Gail’s grandmother was forcibly removed from her family, which has given her a solid awareness of the Stolen Generations. She knows the importance of connected families, including the wellness of the family unit and community, and today’s challenges from trauma of past policies.

    Gail is a nurse by trade who then branched out into the community development field for the last 30 years.

    Gail is committed to building on the vision of the wise Elders who have led us here today.

  • Mark Munnich is a proud Yawuru, Gunggandji and Yued descendant of the Jackamarra family, through Utonga and Yurobo. His Great Grandfather, Dominic Jackamarra, was the son of Felix Jackamarra and Susan Winten. Dominic Jackamarra married Clara Jackamarra (nee Roe) who was a Yawuru woman from Thangoo Station in Broome who were married at Moore River Native Settlement.

    Mark holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Accounting, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, and a Graduate Certificate of Internal Auditing and is admitted to the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory and the High Court of Australia as a Solicitor. Mark is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is currently pursuing his CPA and is in the penultimate semester of his Masters of Laws at Deakin University. Mark is employed as a Legal Counsel within the Legal, Risk, and Compliance Team at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

    Mark is extremely grateful and excited to be part of the organisation and is looking forward to working together with the team and our members to build the organisation.

  • Sharna Meinertz is a descendant of Juranang and a granddaughter of Woolber and Banyup on her father’s side (Trevor Lawrence). With over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, both in Australia and the UK, she now collaborates with First Nations Boards to enhance financial capability through investment strategies.

    Committed to the highest standards of governance, Sharna’s passion lies in simplifying complex financial concepts for better understanding. As we pave the way for future generations, she remains dedicated to ensuring a bright future for our children’s children.

Cultural Advice Committee

The cultural advice committee (CAC) is made up of Elders who consider matters relevant to culture, and make decisions to promote and protect our cultural interests.

The female members of the cultural advice committee are: Stephanie Mippy and Sandra Ryder (term end 2025); and Patricia Ryder (term end 2024).

The male members of the cultural advice committee are: Revis Ryder and Patrick Moody (term end 2025); and Darryl Dawson (term end 2024).
