The Yued Aboriginal Corporation ICN 9579 (Yued AC) is a newly created corporation and represents the traditional owners of the Yued region of the southwest of Western Australia. We work to manage native title benefits, while also advancing and strengthening Noongar culture, language, heritage, and society.

The Yued AC has an important role in the South West Native Title Settlement (The Settlement) with the Western Australian (WA) government. The settlement resolves all native title claims in the southwest of the state in exchange for around $1.3 billion in land and other benefits for the Noongar people.


Research Assistant

The Research Assistant will participate in the implementation, administration, and monitoring of an archive platform.

The successful candidate will analyse and evaluate ethnographic, archaeological, historical, and environmental data gathered during research, and ensure compliance with protocol and overall heritage, research, legal, lands, and environment objectives.

It's a fixed term full time contract for 12 months, based in West Perth.

The annual salary range is $74,929 to $81,043 plus superannuation.

Heritage Liaison Officer - Casual Employment

We are seeking a Heritage Liaison Officer to join our team in early February.

The Heritage Liaison Officer will attend heritage surveys to liaise with Yued survey consultants and the proponents on behalf of the Corporation. The role is initially for two weeks plus training, with the potential for ongoing contracts.

The successful applicant will attend survey planning meetings, provide advice on cultural and heritage matters in relation to the heritage survey, comply with health and safety regulations and the requirements of the Corporation and the proponent and other duties as required by the line manager.

The Heritage Liaison Officer will be required to attain a 4WD competency and a First Aid competency prior to mobilisation. Candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, high level of organisational skills and the ability take initiative, must be available to work and travel within the Yued ILUA.

For surveys, Yued Heritage Protection Agreement Schedule 5 day rates will apply. Hourly rates for office work and training hours is to be negotiated.
