2H Resources and Yued Aboriginal Corporation sign heritage protection agreement
Media statement
Protecting and caring for the cultural heritage of Yued Boodja is a core function of Yued Aboriginal Corporation, representing Yued interests across the coastal MidWest and inland.
A wide range of people and companies seeking to access land for various types of projects are looking for certainty about how to work with Yued to reduce the risk of inappropriate or harmful use of land.
That’s why Yued Aboriginal Corporation developed its Yued Heritage Protection Agreement (YHPA), which establishes the processes by which consideration is given to activities planned by project proponents.
Under a YHPA, proponents submit their planned Activity Notice which is considered by YAC’s Cultural Advice Committee (CAC). The CAC then provides advice to YAC’s management team on how to best ensure that cultural heritage is identified and protected.

“Yued Aboriginal Corporation believes in working with companies to achieve commercial outcomes where Yued people clearly have an opportunity to take necessary steps to protect boodja that is sacred to them.
“2H Resources has shown it understands how important this is for Yued, and we welcome its commitment to setting the company on the right path.”
