Announcement of our new CEO

Kaya Yued Members and families

We have finalised our recruitment process and a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has been appointed for the Yued Aboriginal Corporation.

I am pleased to announce that Mr Rewi Lyall will commence in his new role as CEO on Monday, 17 February 2025.

Rewi is a senior lawyer with a strong background across government and the private sector in public policy, communications, and law.

Rewi has experience in the Aboriginal sector, having worked at the Aboriginal Legal Service of Western Australia Limited early in his career, and most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Acting CEO of the Jamukurnu-Yapalikurnu Aboriginal Corporation.

Our newly appointed CEO, Rewi Lyall, said "The Yued Aboriginal Corporation was established with the ambition to contribute to better futures for Yued Noongar families. I am honoured by the opportunity to help Yued people take the next steps to realising that ambition."

I would like to thank our acting CEO, Lei Zhang, for his assistance during this interim period. Rewi and Lei will work closely to ensure an effective handover, and Lei will be returning to his role as Lands Manager for Yued.

Please join me in welcoming Rewi to the Yued team.

Chair, Yued Aboriginal Corporation
